澳大利亚昆士兰科技大学(QUT)空气质量与健康国际实验室(ILAQH)的创建者。主要从事空气质量和健康相关的基础科学与应用研究,并重点关注空气中的超细颗粒物,目前已经主持或参与了多项国家和国际重点科研项目,已发表超过600多篇高引用的期刊论文与论著。在大气复合污染及其对人体健康和环境影响、高山和森林环境、环境空气质量传感器等研究领域具有丰富的理论知识和研究成果。
